Privacy policy

Short version

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to count visits, see which pages get used, and understand which countries readers come from. That is the only data collection on this site. We do not run ads, we do not sell data, we do not have a newsletter, and we do not run any contact form that collects your details.

What GA4 collects

GA4 sets cookies in your browser and reports back to Google with: pages viewed, time on page, referrer (where you came from), approximate country/region, device type, anonymised IP address. We do not pass any personally identifiable information to GA4. We do not link GA4 to Google Ads, remarketing audiences, or other Google products.

How to opt out

You can block GA4 by using a browser extension (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, etc.), enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings, or installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out add-on. The site works the same with GA4 blocked.

Cookies we use

GA4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) for analytics. NEXT_LOCALE cookie to remember your language choice (ZH or EN). That is all.

Data retention

GA4 retention is set to 2 months, the shortest available setting. After that, individual session data is deleted; only aggregate trends remain.

Children

This site is general health information and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material — new analytics tool, contact form, anything that collects more than what GA4 already does — we will update this page and update the "last updated" date above.
